Let It Ride Poker (sometimes also called Let'em Ride) is one of the casinos most popular table games and is based off of the game of draw poker.  The great thing about Let It Ride is that you do not need a full understanding of how to play poker to enjoy the game, however you will need to know the value of hands in poker.  On this page you will find a complete guide to Let It Ride including how to play the game online as well as all the rules for both the player and the dealer.  Let It Ride is a fun casino game to play and offers some great payouts if you are lucky enough to hit one of the winning combinations.  It should be said up front that this is a high house edge game and is more for entertainment than winning serious money.

How To Play Let It Ride

Let It Ride Poker is an easy to learn game that is based off of draw poker.  The object of the game is to get a pair of 10's or better in your hand to reach one of the payout levels.  Contrary to other games, you are not playing directly against the dealer in Let It Ride but rather with your own hand.  The decisions and other hands held by other players at the table do no affect the outcome of your hand at all.  In order to play Let It Ride, you will need to make three equal ante bets in your position to begin the round.  There is also an optional side bet for $1 (similar to Caribbean Stud) which is an additional bet to win the progressive jackpot.  Once all wagers have been made by players, the game will begin and the cards are dealt.

The dealer will deal three cards to all of the players at the table and deal a further two cards face down in front of the dealer position.  Once all hands have been dealt the players are allowed to check the cards in their hand before play begins.  After checking the hand, the action will be on the first player at the table who will need to either retract 1 of their 3 ante bets of let it ride.  Since the minimum payout is for a pair of 10's or better, if you have 10's or above in your hand you would always let all your bets ride whereas if you did not have a pair of 10's or better you may want to start retracting your bets.  Once all players have made their decision in the first round the dealer will expose 1 of the 2 face down cards in front of them.  There will then be another round of either pulling bets back or letting them stay and the last card will be flipped by the dealer.  The dealer will now expose everyone's hand at the table and those with a pair of 10's or better will be paid.

Let It Ride Betting & Payouts

As was mentioned near the top of this section, you will need to place 3 equal bets on a game of Let It Ride in order to play.  When you win these bets, you will be paid out on all three according to a Let It Ride payout schedule.  There is also an optional progressive wager for $1 that can be made on each game.  To bet on the progressive section, you must put $1 on a red illuminated circle on the table before each game.  Below are the various payouts associated with Let It Ride hands.

Regular Let It Ride Payouts: All of the non-progressive payouts in Let It Ride that occur when the player has a pair of 10's or better in their hand after each round.

Progressive Let It Ride Payouts: Progressive payout schedule for those players who place a $1 progressive wager in addition to their normal bets each game.

• Royal Flush pays progressive jackpot or in some games $20,000
• Straight Flush pays 10% of progressive or in some games $2,000
• Four of a Kind pays $500
• Full House pays $75
• Flush pays $50
• Straight pays $25

Let It Ride Poker Strategy

While the strategy in Let It Ride Poker is pretty basic, some players do wonder when they should leave all their bets in play and when it is a good idea to pull back your bets until you make a winning hand.  We have provided a few types on different scenarios you may face at the Let It Ride table along with what to do.

Hands To Leave All Bets In Play

• Any pair of 10's or better (obvious since it's a guaranteed pay)
• Possible straight combinations (for example 5, 6, 7)
• Potential flush combinations (for example 10, J, Q suited)

Hands To Pull Bets Back

• Random cards under 10 (for example 2, 7, 9)
• Paired low card hands (for example 3, 3, 6)

These are the general strategies that are used by Let It Ride players however there is also the element of luck and feel in this game.  While come players may take a cautious approach and always pull their first or second bet without having made a hand, others like to gamble on hitting the hand since the payouts can be very big if you are lucky enough to make it.  Generally speaking, you will lose more taking risks in the game, however if luck is on your side you could be rewarded.
